TSIX GREEN

T-Six was founded on the principles of triple-bottom-line sustainability.  Today, “sustainability” and “green” have become common place terms. They're buzzwords for marketing, slogans, and brand positioning for a new era of products, services, and institutions.  But what does it all mean?   T-Six Green is our way of consolidating key concepts, programs, and industry trends into a concise sustainability strategy for the built environment.

At the core of our expertise is “sustainable urbanism” - the design of walkable, compact, mixed-use places that address social, economic, and environmental sustainability - a practice that forms the basis for the pilot LEEDND (LEED for Neighborhood Design) rating system.  Sustainable urbanism also integrates into a broader, more comprehensive understanding of sustainability including high performance building and and infrastructure. TSIX Green offers both our private and public sector clients a means to understand how our unique expertise in sustainabile urbanism plugs into the broader context of sustainability, and offers clear strategies to achieve their goals.

This page will soon provide a concise list of resources, culled from the confusing and often overlapping realm of "green" and "sustainable" development.
